The story begins in ADDANAC CITY in the year 2010. It also takes place in the year 1990.
When diminutive dimwit, Hank Addanac, the town’s resident rapscallion, exhausts all resources when it comes to discovering the truth about his family history, he takes it upon himself to find the answers the only way he knows how:
What begins as a simple trip to the past quickly escalates into action and intrigue filled with town secrets, a supervillain, and one lone savior who has the guts, nerve, and ambition to save ADDANAC CITY from despair and evil domination:
The Boll Weevil
Can the Boll Weevil defeat this pompous scourge of humanity?
Will Hank ever discover the truth about his parents, or will his actions destroy his future?
You can find out the answers for yourself in the first issue of this special three-issue limited series, Hard Time: The Legend of the Boll Weevil.
Stan Lee’s Comikaze 2015 has come to a close this year and somehow, I managed to survive it relatively physically unscathed and with my mind still intact.
I had an incredible amount of fun meeting avid comic book fans, talented peers, comic book legends, and seemingly hundreds of excited cosplayers.
I couldn’t have accomplished as much as I did without the tireless assistance and support of my lovely wife, Traviett, who helped me transport my art stash, set it all up, and actively drew potential customers to my table.
She was (and is) the ultimate greatest person I know. Thank ya, Baby!
I was fortunate to have quite a few friends from my current base of operations in Riverside, CA come out to show their support.
It was refreshing to spot many familiar faces while I was there.
I was also able to meet many legendary artists and writers in the comic book industry. However, I was so busy that I only one opportunity in which to actually take a picture with one my favorite and revered creators.
I wanna take a moment to showcase some of the items I had available for purchase during the event. The images pictured below were several prints that fans raved over and many had to buy to include in their art collections.
I will include some nifty pics I took of some of the awesome cosplayers I encountered during the three wonderful days I participated in the Comikaze Expo. I hope you’ll enjoy the costumes as much as I did!
Come check me out at Comikaze Expo this weekend (Oct. 30-Nov. 1)!
I’ll have loads of cool stuff: Addanac City comic books, exclusive prints, collector trading cards, and original artwork and caricatures!
I will be at ARTIST ALLEY TABLE: i04
Here’s a drawing I worked on a few months ago that I’m just now getting around to unveiling.
This is what will happen if Martians ever decide to come down to Addanac City for a hostile takeover. They’re gonna have to deal with Hank! 😀
