Is that Hank in the last panel or his evil twin with a dental plan? lol

That is awesome. Also, love the little note on the chalkboard. Win!

  3. Bearman says:

I would have given him a D. I won't have to see him next year and he still looks like an idiot.

  4. natefakes says:

Hey – you gotta do what you gotta do. I think a few teachers may have passed me even after I took naps and messed around the whole class. I got D- though.

    A well earned A, I'd say!

What? I'm not really paying attention!! …..oooooo shiny!!

  7. Michelle says:

Haha. Hank is a trip! George, are you going to let Hank grow?

    • GeorgeFord says:

I reckon he's gonna stay this age for a loooong time, Michelle. Although I will, from time to time, showcase him as a teen or adult in future strips just to see what it would look like.

    • Nef says:

Comic Strip Time (CST) is usually much slower than real time (RT), but sometimes a wormhole or a singularity can cause a rapid and almost unexplainable spurt of growth.

If George wants to avoid this and keep Hank young forever, he will have to start auditions for a new actor before the current one enters puberty. Other comics do it. You think it is drawing style changes, but in reality what they have done is change the actors.

    Oooh! He's so bad! :*

Thanks, N.G.! I try to throw some extra subliminal stuff in here sometimes when I can think of it.

  11. GeorgeFord says:

This young man will forever look like an idiot. Hank's really destroying the whole "No Child Left Behind" concept. :)

  12. GeorgeFord says:

I used to leave what I considered to be the "easy" teachers even though I don't think I learned anything. Hahaha!

And I don't mean easy as in "Would you care for more wine, Mrs. Krabappel?".

  13. GeorgeFord says:

Thanks, Dave! We try to ruin the grading curve around here.

  14. John says:

See, the thing is, I AM a teacher. If any kid pulled a stunt like that on me, I would've made sure he didn't even so much as get a whiff of outdoors for the rest of the school year. For shame on you Ms. Yeznik for not putting Hank in his place. What d'you mean it's only a cartoon? Who you callin' a curmudgeon? Come back here and clean these board dusters.

    • GeorgeFord says:

I agree with you, John. But do you REALLY want to spend 180+ days with Hank raising heck in your classroom? Or would it be simpler and wiser to pass him off to the next schmuck? :D

  15. Hey, great post, very well written. You should blog more about this.
