I’ve missed the wacky antics and devious dichotomy that arise when Hank and Uncle Jack get together. The last we saw of ol’ Jack Addanac, he got himself captured and re-arrested after his infamous prison break.
I thought it would be kinda nice to have Hank pay him a visit at the prison. Just because somebody’s locked up doesn’t mean that we have to totally forget about them. Jack may be making a few more appearances from behind the wall as the story warrants.

Seems Hank has a real understanding of the prison system-LOL! His parents are going to be oh-so-proud-some-day… yeah….
He'd better have a good understanding of a place he's gonna spend so many formative years.
Good ol' Uncle Jack learning to appreciate 'different' experiences in prison?
Uncle Jack has always been just a tad bit different.
Ah, the fine art of prison bartering. I'll trade your Muscle & Fitness for a Cat Fancy. Throw it Knitting Times and it's a deal!
Its good that Hank has someone to look up to.
I don't think Hank's parents appreciate Jack's hero status.
Learning life lessons young is probably a good thing for Hank! He'll know exactly how what's important in prison for future reference.
Hank is a student of life. Life in prison.
I want to know what he will trade the magazines for, but I would hate to see the inmate who wants Good Housekeeping.
I think Jack's gonna trade the mags for an extra slab of cornbread during lunch. Now what he'll do to get the bottom bunk is anybody's guess.
Trading is an important part of acclimating to prison life.
A touching family moment…
Yes, it's good to see those two together again.
If there's any white collar criminals Golf Digest would make for a good trade
That and Business Week for those still runnin' thangs from the inside.
i like prison hank stories. more please.
I'll do what I can, Blunt. And I'm sure Hank will be glad to volunteer for anything that can result in jail time.
Magazines are softer than prison issued toilet paper.
Way softer. But they make the mattresses more comfortable.
That first panel – Hank carting boxes of Newports through prison – was already enough to keep me laughing all day long! SO funny!
Yeah, I enjoyed working on that panel. That was what sparked the idea for the strip: just imagining Hank with a bunch of cigarettes.
You mean Hank is still naive when it comes to magazines??
Hank can't read, so magazines don't hold much interest for him.
