Hank fails everything. For one, he failed to go to a fun summer camp. He probably also fails the second grade, too.
The dialogue in the first two panels isn't realistic whatsoever. This made the punchline a lot less funny.
See? Constructive criticism I can deal with. Joe didn't just come out the box hatin' with some ol' "this sucks" BS. He gave his two cents, made some suggestions as to how it could have come off better, and he did it politely.
I almost/kinda agree with you on this one, Joe. It was difficult trying to cram all of the ingredients necessary to arrive to the last panel. In reflection, this strip wasn't one of my better ones, but I needed to have Hank in summer school so I could utilize some of the school strips I have. I'll try better next time (hopefully).
