OFFICIAL DISCLAIMER: All GI Joe and Cobra characters are (c) Hasbro, Inc.
When I was a kid, I had all of the G.I. Joe action figures and vehicles. I thought it was the greatest toy collection ever (with Transformers following at a close second). I don’t know if the new Joe movie is any good, but I hope that it’s entertaining at least.
And, knowing Hank, if he was gonna emulate any of the characters, it would be someone from Cobra.
I wonder how the church service went?

Holy crap! That's a riot! I didn't see that one coming at all. Hank needs church, and after seeing the S&M scene between his parents, Mr. and Mrs A need church too!
At least Mr. and Mrs. A show some signs of positivity (even with the skeletons in their closet).
G.I. Joe, Dragonball Z, Transformers, Ninja Turtles… One of these days they will bring Mazinger Z back.
My favorite figures were Star Wars. Me and my brother played with them for hours on end. Hank has an impressive wardrobe, though…
I had all of the major Star Wars figures, also. I think my favorite was either Boba Fett or Hammerhead (just because he was differently sculpted, which was unique for a 70'a action figure).
The only one I remember is cobra…I think that was on the same time as spiderman so I didn't watch that cartoon much.
I never got to see the cartoon much. I did read all of the Marvel comics, though.
And nuthin' could even touch Spiderman and His Amazing Friends.
Hey, he could be Tomax and Xamot (Cobra's twin brothers). After talking to himself and responding they may need to do an exorcism.
Father Mackey is preparing now to perform an exorcism on Hank. He's just trying to gather up enough nerve to attempt it.
And I loved Tomax and Xamot! I think my favorite characters were Firefly, Major Bludd, and Shipwreck.
Love it! I remember having a few Cobra figures myself.. I think I used one as Leonardo DaVinci in a flying machine for a school project.
Wow! You had a cool school project. All I ever did was eat paste.
Never got into GI Joe here, perhaps it wasnt a UK think. I had a Steve Austin with a super strength ratchet arm though lol – Excelent comic! – Storm Shadow is definately church clothing though
I had the Steve Austin, too. You mean the one where you could look thru the back of his head and had magnified vision? I used to love that thing. I lost the little red shoes, though.
About 6 of my G.I. Joes are buried on the banks of a river near my parents house … three or four probably floated up stream, too. And that was just last week!
I take it that you're more of a Transformers kinda guy, huh?
I wasn't trying to loose them, George! Just building a sweet sweet waterfront fortress! I'm still distraught!
That would'a been so cool. And I had the Cobra Water Moccasin (packaged with Copperhead) that would've suited the occasion.
cobra commander is so church appropriate! it is a suit for pete's sakeB)
I thought about saving the Commander for last choice, but there was something so amusing to me about being a ninja and having sharp weapons with you in church.
Too bad none of the characters in the movie look anything like what we grew up with. :@
That's one thing I don't really like about the movie pix I've seen, but I guess they had to bring everything up-to-date and tie it in with the new wave of toys.
I really don't know anything about G.I. Joe. All I remember while watching the cartoon was about cobra and I think a bald headed man with a patch over his eye. Could never get into that cartoon. I digg the comic tho.
That bald guy was Dr. Mindbender. Glad you did appreciate the comic, though.
The only thing I did with GI Joe action figures that I acquired from the neighbor boys after they launched them into my back yard was make them be my barbie dolls chauffeur or body guards. I did have a yoda action figure that some boy in class gave me once as a way to say he was sorry for gluing paper in my hair when we were all watching movies..
That boy was lucky you didn't knock his block off!
Ok…I am starting to get a complex. I see you commenting all over the blog world and yet you haven't visited me in 4 days…what's up with that. Ahhhhh…back in the day when you only had me to visit..haha
Sorry I haven't been around lately, B! It's nothing personal, but I still feel like a heel (plus five toes) for it. I did, however, mention you favorably in an interview I had Saturday night on WCRI (and that's not in Cinncinnatti). I'll try to get my act together and beg your creative pardon.
You know I can't survive without your smart ass comments. What is WCR?? Radio, TV?? Link me…link me. Want to hear.
WCRI is Webcomic Reviews and Interviews with @tregorysullivan on Twitter. He's got a site where he occasionally interviews webcomic creators for about an hour. He chose me for the latest podcast. It hasn't been edited yet and released, but I mentioned you and a few others that I felt were trailblazers in the industry. See? I WAS thinkin' about you! Ask @dangermaus . He listened in on it live.

Ha! That was unexpected! I'm really envious Hank's got all those costumes. All I get to wear to church are jeans and button-down shirts.
Well, that's better than having to wear a wool suit, tie, and vest in 100 degree temperatures for 4 or more hours.
