This was a comic I originally created around November 2008. I didn’t want to use it at the time because I felt that the interaction between Hank and Christie was too harsh.
AC had been around in my neck of the woods since 1992, so I was accustomed to their hateful, spiteful ways. Buuuut, most of you have only known ADDANAC CITY since August 2008, so I thought it was too early for Hank and Christie to be this mean to one another.
But since more than a year had passed, and there’s lots of AC strips documenting their sordid, adversarial history, I felt that the time was right to release this one.
I guess it really is “a long time coming”. 
TOMORROW’S STRIP: Monday will kick off my super-duper Christmas storyline. You’re gonna see some familiar AC characters as well as some familiar Christmas-related characters. I had a lotta fun working on these upcoming strips during the past few weeks, and I think you’re gonna get a kick out of ‘em too. And, oh yeah…tomorrow’s comic is a triple-sized opener!
Christie's reaction was… unexpected. Perhaps this was the drop that spill the beans, or something like that…
Sometimes you just take all you're gonna take. Then you're back to normal the next day.

Yeah, the characters have changed a lot visually during the first year. I wonder how they're gonna look next year.

Christie's gonna be quite the looker in a few years when her head and form fills out. Hank's gonna regret teasing her after he starts panting for her.
Of course that's when the story's really going to get interesting!

I don't think Hank was any meaner to Christie than usual. It was just that she took it more personally this time. It's like in real life. I knew a girl with whom we would tease each other mercilessly. One day, after hundreds of tease-sessions,she actually took offense to my name-calling. I guess she was having an extremely bad day. :S
I was friend with a boy from 1st grade all the way through jr high we would tease each other quite a bit then one day I told him that he had a scrawny butt and it made him cry
I wish someone would tell me that I had a scrawny butt.
I think hank is going to regret it tomorrow. He needs his muse.
Hank better realize that Christie holds an important place in his daily practices. He needs her like Batman needs the Joker. They can't exist without the other.
That'll keep her out of his hair through the holidays!
You would think he could be Chrsitie-free until New Year's, but you never know….
This victory might be short lived … Could Christie have some retaliation in mind?!
Christie will most certainly have something diabolical and vengeful up her sleeve, so I wouldn't worry about her. Hank will get his in due time.
