Enter The Bad Guys

Enter The Bad Guys

Ahhh, we finally get introduced to Floyd and Bernie, the bad guys who have come to spoil Christmas for our heroes. I originally created these guys back in December 1995 when I published my first-ever ADDANAC CITY comic book. Floyd and Bernie started out as bank robbers in that issue, but I put them on the back burner until now.

Here’s a pic of the original cover to the comic book. It’s kinda beat up, but it’s one of the only copies of the comic that I personally have. You can tell it’s old; you can’t buy hardly anything for $2.50 anymore. The print run sold out and everybody’s waiting for those old books to increase in value. Hahaha! Yeah, right. They should’ve invested in Google. :)

NEWS ITEM: Starting Monday, there will be super-duper-sized comics posting all the way thru Christmas Day. I put a lotta hard work into this story, and I hope it shows.

If you’re new to this year’s Christmas story, start here.

I recall paying up to $3.50 for independent comic issues way back in the mid-80's. Even Image comics in 1995 were $2.50 or better. I think regular comics (like Spider-Man or Batman) nowadays hit around $2.99. I wonder how kids can even afford them now. :)

You know it just goes to show you that even theives don’t want to get robbed. Good job on the toon. With that being said next on dumb crook news would be robbers lock up the get away car.

Great comic, G. Did the store really needed to be called "Bi-Mart" ? LOL. I'm such a perv.

I wondered if anyone was gonna notice and say anything about the name of the superstore. :D Your pervy self is always welcome around here. :)

So there IS no honor among thieves! Typical.

Very interesting seeing the old Addanac cover there…I seem to have some sympathy for Hank now, since it's clearly Christie who is the more hostile of the two.

  6. Hey – those look like the guys who stole a sweet parking spot I had been waiting for yesterday! :)

Looks like Hank might have some new friends. It is so nice to make new friends over the holidays.

Wow that cover is amazing! Looks like you made it without any Photoshop at all. Really dig the style man.

I can guess who the smart robber is, and which is the dumb one. Where's the sexy one?!

The early AC comics were created without any computer help at all. This was in the day and age when "cut-and-paste" was meant literally. I'm glad I can use computer lettering because my handwriting kinda sucks. It's not easy being a left-handed letterer. :)

There isn't a sexy robber in this tale, but there may be one for another story. Hint-hint….
