I got the idea for this strip while messing around on Twitter one evening a couple of weeks ago. I left a tweet that mentioned me finally eating the last of my kids’ Halloween candy that I had discovered way back in the refrigerator and wondering what that huge crunch was when I ate it.
I was just joshing about doing so, but Dan Long of Edmund Finney and Barry Buchanan of Don’t Feed The Geek both responded that they hoped I wasn’t eating Gummi Bears.
I thought that was so funny that I had to make a comic out of it. Thanks, guys!

Hey, you guys helped me with this one. I figured I oughtta share the blame…err, I mean CREDIT.
Remember those sticks of gum that came with a pack of baseball cards? I "ate" one once that was so old it completely liquefied – it tasted like cardboard and ink (residue from the stats of some 80's ball player)!
I tried one piece that simply shattered into like glass. I could'a cut my tongue off with that thing.
You can soften up stale gummi bears if you put them in your back pocket and sit on them for awhile.
Then you'll be choking on 'em like clam strips.
Aw man, I left a bag of Gummi Bears in my desk over spring break one year and when I came back they weren't hard, but I did have a big bag-corner-shaped gummi wad. It wasn't crunchy, but it was still really good.
Also, am I the only one who imagines Hank as having Naruto's voice from the English dub version? Surf Wisely.
I'd been wondering what Hank was supposed to sound like. Thanks adding a possibility in.
