My wife was the inspiration for this comic. She cannot stand any of my female friends on Facebook or MySpace. I don’t know why she thinks they would want me of all people, but I think it’s a territorial thing. She just doesn’t like the thought of anyone moving in on what’s hers. 
So I came up with this strip idea, which is a continuation of a comic I made a few weeks ago featuring the Addanacs. Portia Calloway is Mr. A’s ex-girlfriend from high school. She’s made it big and she’s a hot lil’ number to boot. She had been communicating with Mr. A thru Facebook until his wife found out.
I just wanted to keep the story going to see what would actually happen if Portia ran into ol’ Harvey Addanac on the street somewhere. Today’s comic is part 1 of the results. Hope you all get as much of a kick out of it as I did.

This would be good for one of those Southwest Airlines commercials, “Wanna Get Away.” Your wife sounds a lot like mine. What my wife doesn’t realize is that I would probably never be attracted to any woman who would have me.
My wife thinks I'm a pushover. She says I crave attention and I'm too kind to those who are nice to me. That may be a true assessment.
When I read this strip, in my mind I see the lady from Attack of the 50-Foot Woman offscreen and very much on her way to onscreen!

Maybe Mr. A should have just ran up in that building when he heard Portia call his name.
I hate to admit it, but I'm like your wife. I try to keep it in perspective though. I only pay one detective to follow him everywhere he goes.
