I had been meaning to broadcast this bit of news for a few weeks now, but my mind wanders and I seem to be living in the past for the time being. One fine Saturday, I was going through my mail, burning bills, opening non-descript, plain brown packages, and checking for discount restaurant coupons, when I happened upon a small parcel from the Philippines.

I marveled at the beautiful and exotic stamps that adorned my fresh, new package right before I proceeded to tear the envelope to shreds to get to the goodies! Lo and behold, I was the proud recipient of an autographed copy of Dr. Carlo Jose San Juan’s Callous: Chocolate Chip Wishes and Caffeine Dreams!

Carlo had notified me a few weeks prior that he was presenting the people who helped guide him onto the road to superstardom the latest issue of his popular webcomic series.

Callous basically features Rianne, a struggling new physician, who braves the world with her guardian duck, Cal Duck, and his on-the-job mentors!

That sounds wild, but Carlo handles this series with the right mix of reality, fantasy, and humor. To me, it’s like a cross between ER, Three’s Company, and The Wizard of Oz. If ya don’t believe me, go check it out for yourself. You won’t be sorry.
