It’s Time For Some Guest Strips

I just wanted to take a second to announce that since I’ve finally completed my multi-length epic story “Hard Time: The Life and Legend of the Boll Weevil”, it’s now time to unveil all of the magnificent guest comics I’ve received from some phenomenal cartoonists over the last several months.

The Guest Strips will premiere starting Monday, October 4, 2010 and will continue Mondays thru Firdays until I run out of them. Monday’s Guest Strip is created by Robert Matejcek of Spilled Ink Cartoonss. Be sure to check it out and also take a look at the rest of the lineup when they appear. :)

If you would like to create a guest strip for ADDANAC CITY (even if you’ve done one before), just contact me at: addanaccity@gmail.com for more info. I look forward to seeing what you’ll come up with!

Guest Art I Created Recently

Since I’ve been on a mini working vacation, I felt it was time to work on some of the things I had previously committed myself to but never found the time to actually carry out. Marcel Vann is a young artist whom I encountered a couple of years ago on MySpace. He’s been doing his thing with comic strips for awhile, and I told him that if he needed something from me, just holla.

Which he did. :) So I created for Marcel the artwork you see above. The kids in the drawing are characters of his from his comic strip series that premieres with amazing regularity on Facebook. If you would like to check out his impressive archive collection, just click the pic above or click here.

NSFW~ But it is hilarious!

My wife showed me this video earlier tonight, and I could not stop laughing at it. :D It is definitely Not Safe For Work, but if you have earbuds, headphones, or a blatant disregard for office decorum, then you’ve gotta see this.

Kids, if you’re reading this, do not watch this harsh-language video which is unsuitable for your tender ears. Instead, go catch an episode of South Park or Family Guy or sumthin’.

Guest Fan Art by Zack Hix of “Good Boy Roy”

While searching on Facebook for some new and familiar artists, cartoonists, and craftspeople, I ran into a young man named Zack Hix. He’s only fifteen years old, but he’s about his business and he’s already started a clothing line for kids while simultaneously expanding his art skills considerably.

Zack and I corresponded back and forth for awhile and I suggest that if he got some free time and if he felt like it, could he create some ADDANAC CITY Fan Art for me. In about a day or so, I received an email with the pic you see above. Tremendous thanks go out to you, Zack! Keep up the great work.

And as far as the rest of you guys are concerned, go check out Zack’s clothing line, Good Boy Roy. He has quite a few clever designs in his repertoire. :)
