Guest Strip by Dave Crews of “Lee and the Boys”

Guest Strip by Dave Crews of “Lee and the Boys”

Once I felt I had gotten a tenuous foothold in the webcomics world, I began going through some of my new cartooning friends Recommended Sections. The only guy I knew with a more lengthily compiled list of “Comics I Like” than Bearman was Nate Fakes. I went thru Nate’s list looking for something new, funny, and fresh to read. I saw a link to this comic called Lee And The Boys and decided to give it a click.

I was instantly impressed the nicely colored artwork. Dave Crews, the series’ creator, possesses a style that’s reminiscent (to me, anyway) of Mort Walker and the best ingredients of Fred Lasswell’s Snuffy Smith. I quickly added Lee and the Boys to my “gotta-reads”

So when I came calling begging for guest strips, Dave selflessly stepped up to the plate. This comic put a huge smile on my face. His rendition of Hank is original and I like the way Dave totally gets Hank’s personality. Let us know what you think of this comic, then go see what Lee and the Boys is all about! :)

COMING UP: Saturday’s and Sunday’s Sneak-In Weekend will feature some classic AC Guest Comics by two well-regarded webcartoonists! Come see who they are! And on Monday, we’re back on task with more ALL-NEW guest comics for you! Stay tuned!
