Secret Aging Man

Secret Aging Man

What I’m beginning to really like about working on this comic series is that I’ve begun to expand my ever-growing cast of characters. I’ve realized that having my webcomic named ADDANAC CITY means that I can rotate the spotlight to shine on any particular character and hopefully provide something humorous for you to read.

With so many crazy folks to choose from now, I never get bored creating this comic. I find lots of subjects, professions, and scenarios funny and with my evolving ensemble cast, I can tackle these things whenever I think of them.

When I first started AC, it was strictly Hank dealing with his parents, friends, and school officials. Eventually I was gonna paint myself in a corner if all I had was that one-trick pony. I’m not complaining, because I’ve got lots of stories for Hank and his friends to showcase, but I’ve also got way more than that to serve you too.

I would love to have this town filled with characters that could hold their own for a strip or even an entire story. That’s one thing that kept The Simpsons on prime-time for over twenty years.

Today’s comic is one of my favorites because I get to point the spotlight at a few of the let’s say…more mature citizens of Addanac City. I’m sure you are all familiar with Grandpa Addanac. He’s been featured in quite a few strips and my readers seem to really like his character and personality.

The other two older gentlemen have only made one appearance each so far in the series, but I think that they both have serious potential. The African-American dude, whom I hereby name Gus was seen in this comic from last month:

Gus makes his first AC appearance

The other guy, whom I shall forever dub Max, was featured in this comic about the guy who was arrested for scamming folks with his Fountain of Youth potion. Keep an eye on him because he’s due to play a pivotal role in this upcoming summer’s exciting tale. :)

Max isn't REALLY as old as he says, is he?

Set you alarm, Dear Reader, cuz you do not wanna miss tomorrow’s AC comic! Wednesday will be the unveiling for ADDANAC CITY’s 1,000th comic strip. You didn’t think it was possible, but here it comes: 32 panels of fun-filled comedy and hilarity. This may be the largest AC comic yet. Tell a friend! :)
