Well, not really, but I did cut it kinda close and down to the wire with this one. I completed putting the finishing touches on this monumental milestone just in the nick of time to post. There wasn’t a second to spare. I despise being late with my own comic (it’s one of my personal pet peeves) and I am blessed and fortunate that I’ve never had to miss an update throughout the three-plus years I’ve been posting ADDANAC CITY comics.

I’m not that stringent when it comes to other creators and series’ obligations (they can do what’s best for themselves overall), but I made a promise to you guys about when AC was coming out and I hold myself to that promise even if no one else thinks it’s that big a deal. I care and I hope it shows in my efforts.

So, here we are at Number 1,000. The mere number itself boggles my mind. I didn’t even know i could count that high, much less reach that point with full-color comic strips (some of which the size of small cities). I’m thankful that I have some of the best readers around who are vocal and supportive of what I do. I love the audience interaction and it strengthens me to grow, improve, and make it to the next strip each and every day.

If you weren’t around to witness my daily efforts, I’m not that sure I’d be at the drawing table every day producing these crazy things. I love it when you laugh. I adore it when a certain strip catches you off-guard. It’s what I strive for and hopefully I get it right more often than I straight miss the mark.

I appreciate all of my readers, especially the ones who have been here since Day One. Your dedication is not taken for granted. You inspire me to believe that I can stick around for another thousand comics.
