That was a true giggle for me George. He must be talking from experience for sure. :`D
A lot of pertinent wisdom comes from trial and error experience. At least, in my case, that appears to be true, Jande.
I don't know, sometimes left over steak grease is worth a few stiches.
I know, right? I have to be careful because I a m known to straight up assault a nice just to get the goodness from it. I've erred on a number of occasions, however.
I don't think I want to hear any more of his story…
Aw, and Gramps was just getting ready to break out the Smores by the campfire, Dan!
Now grandpa is a real Geezer with plenty of Geezerhood wisdom. I kind of picture him as saying "My little cockroach" to Hank instead of "My little Grasshopper". A lot of people might not get the reference either way though.
Perhaps, Grandpa A needs to come pay a visit to Gatorhead and visit some "old friends". I'm sure they all have a lotta fat to chew and reminisce about the good, ol' days.
I was thinkin' about that earlier… Would it be okay for me to use him in a future Geezerhood comic?
By all means, You have my blessing!
Ha!
Kind of a Mr. Miyagi moment, I guess.
Except Gramps doesn't know how to wax on and wax off.
Those are only important if you want other people near you.
And if people are near you, it won't be for too long.
Welcome to Addanac City!
Good advice. Learning them the hard way is much worse. Trust me.
But, sadly, though, Tony, that appears to be the only way anyone learns. I had to find out stuff the hard way, and it appears my kids have to also. It must be human nature, sheesh….
Thats some sound advice there. If only I had had it years ago…
If I had a time machine, I would try to use it to save my younger self a lotta missteps. But, I'm relatively sure that I wouldn't even listen to me. I was a huge know-it-all in those days.
And, hey, welcome to Addanac City!
Bodily dysfunctions!
Those are usually the best kind.
I could always lick a steak knife no problem. Oh and I can do that steak knife scene from Aliens with the jabbing between your fingers.
I can lick a steak knife, but I have to make a conscious effort to remind me of what I'm doing before I get too joyous at it.
Unfortunately, I've licked many steak knives. Haven't learned yet!
You can get some of the good things in life from a steak knife, Nate.
This one's ok George but the strips for the 23rd, 24th & 25th are showing up really small. I must ensure that I remember Granpa's advice
I don't know why they're doing that, Tony. They showed fine when they were originally posted and everyone was commenting. I'll take a quick look at that. Let me know if you see any other one's like that. And I'm sorry about that too, man.
..and never take Gas-X just before a flight home! …just ask those who flew home w/ me last night! [smirk]
I can certainly identify, Jynksie. I made the mistake once of having a huge mexican meal in the airport just before a flight home. Everyone hated me on that 6 hour flight. Whoo!
