Oddly enough, I didn’t even know it was Girl Scout cookie-season already while I was creating this strip. I am so glad my subconscious mind looks out for me.

And I do believe this is one of Hank’s first blatant felonies. Well, besides breaking his Uncle Jack out of prison, and creating zombies, and pirating movies, and….

NEWS ITEM: If you’re reading this, I’m already dead I’m probably in the wonderful state of Virginia, the state of my birth. My family and I decided to venture back to my hometown during our Spring Break from the university.

My college class in Final Cut Pro Video is winding down, but I wanted to try something in iMovie to celebrate the ADDANAC CITY sensation. I attempted to make a commercial of sorts for the comic series and I put it up on YouTube. I hope you true Addanac Addicts enjoy it. Lemme know what you think!

Aidan was having a contest in which the participants would have to name the songs that were referenced in the comic. It was a battle! Most of us web-heads were out in full force, placing our guesses, and vying for the ultimate prize of an original Aidan Casserly sketch.

The battle was ferocious and merciless, and when the dust settled, we Band-Aid’ed our wounds and looked upward to see who the victor was. It was close, real close.

In the end, Aidan was so gracious that we all received a virtual prize for our bloodthirsty efforts. Personally, I was the recipient of this fine piece of artwork! I love seeing the inner working s of Aidan’s warped mind. Enjoy, and thanks again, man!

Dan Long’s Edmund Finney’s Quest to Find the Meaning of Life is definitely one webcomic series that has been constantly and consistently impressing the heck outta me lately. Dan is a hilarious writer and I’ve been driving myself crazy trying to figure out what fuels his madness. Cookie dough? Red Bull? Blue Bull?

Dan’s character, Edmund Finney, is a guy who travels the world and encounters some of the strangest, weirdest people ever plucked from one guy’s imagination. You never know who (or what) is gonna show up next to vex, aggravate, and/or fascinate poor Edmund.

Currently, I also have a character who is traveling the country, trying to keep a low profile as he contemplates his next power move. Hank’s Uncle Jack is a very odd dude. I don’t know for sure myself whether Jack is mentally-handicapped, insane, or a combination thereof.

One day, a few weeks ago, I got this stupid wonderful idea to have Edmund and Jack meet each other during their trek across the world. I contacted Dan to get his seal of approval. After an extraordinary amount of money (all in unmarked bills of various denominations) exchanged hands, he graciously granted me permission to use Edmund in an ADDANAC CITY comic.

The first strip I created with these two was so much fun, that I got a second mortgage on my brothel and asked Dan if I could do a Part Two to Edmund and Jack’s encounter. So be sure to tune in tomorrow to read the triple-sized conclusion to the Team-Up of the Century!

I got lazy I wanted to try a new technique with this particular strip. I’ve been learning more and more about the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop and I wanted to try some of what I’ve recently learned.

Plus, there’s no way I felt like simulating the mundane repetition of a grocery store aisle. I think everything came out looking kinda neat. Yay, Photoshop!

Another true-life moment: I said the same thing Hank did when I was riding with my mom once. The only difference, I believe, was that I caught a backhand to the face due to my charming quip. Hank’s a very fortunate kid.
