Another true-life moment: I said the same thing Hank did when I was riding with my mom once. The only difference, I believe, was that I caught a backhand to the face due to my charming quip. Hank’s a very fortunate kid.

Hank has a history of complaining about food. This is one kid who will never be happy either way.

After thoughtful and careful deliberation, I have decided to forgo ADDANAC CITY weekend updates. This decision didn’t come lightly and there are many reasons for this change.

First and foremost, weekends in the webcomic world is a dead, barren wasteland. Not too many comic aficionados venture out during that time. I am so fortunate that a majority of my faithful gang makes it thru.

I’m a huge fan of reader-interaction and I love to receive comments that I can read and respond to. During the weekends, the amount of comments drop dramatically. A good amount of webcomic creators will agree with me, that’s why they’re smart enough to only post during the weekdays.

Also, I hate starting a lengthy storyline and have parts of it get lost on the weekends and never seen nor appreciated. With my new schedule, you won’t have to miss anything.

I’m not changing the schedule due to being burnt-out. Far from it. The strip ideas are still rolling in like a locomotive. I could continue making comics for Saturday and Sunday, but it would stretch my already-thin days even thinner.

Currently (as some of you may know), I am taking classes at the university that’s nearby where I live. These special projects have been taking a good amount of my time. I was also fortunate enough to become recognized by the college for my artistic talents and was hired in a graphic art/marketing capacity. There go a few more hours.

Annnnd…..I also work for the university as a guide for students with disabilities. In layman’s terms, I escort them to and from their classes.

And let’s not forget, I still work freelance as a graphic designer and that’s picked up even more this season.

Another reason is, I’m visiting my hometown in Virginia for a week later this month for Spring Break. Yeah, yeah, I know, it’s not Daytona, but my stepkids have never been to VA (nor have they met my parents), so we thought this would be the perfect time and opportunity. While I’m in the boonies, I’m back to 56k modem, so internet pleasure will be scarce if not nonexistent.

But don’t fret, Dear Reader, I’m not letting ADDANAC CITY go at all. This is still my baby, and I’m still gonna crank out five comic strips a week. Plus, my wife and kids have grown somewhat fond of me over time, and they wouldn’t mind seeing more of me.

I’ll have a little more time to go to the movies, recitals, and ball games without grumbling and screaming that “I’m try’na work in here!” to my family.

More than likely, I’ll go back to seven days a week soon. But for now, let’s see how weekdays run. It’ll provide me with some extra time to build this slacking buffer back up-to-par again. I’ll sure be glad when June rolls around and I can have my 2nd Annual Guest-Strip Week (hint-hint).

It appears that Hank as skated by from getting exchanged to Yukiovia for now, but rest assured, there’s always a chance he will get sent once Mekhi Kevorkian comes to town soon.

I think Hank should have been nicer to the people in his class.

This is another classic AC strip from awhile back that I never posted due to the sensitive aspect depicted in it.

I created this strip right before Virginia Tech had their second tragedy at the university when one student stabbed another to death in the Student Commons (I believe that’s where it took place).

I decided to shelve this comic because Mr. Addanac was sporting a VT sweatshirt, and I didn’t want to appear insensitive (especially with the violent items that were included on Hank’s Christmas list). It was just a coincidence that these two things were in the same comic.

So, finally, this comic gets the chance to see the light of day…..

Bullies make it really hard to get through life safely. The only satisfaction comes from the fact that most bullies get what’s coming to them sooner or later (then they join Facebook and want to be your best friend).

This is another never-before-released classic that somehow slipped thru the cracks.

I wonder how many traffic laws Mrs. Addanac broke racing over to Esteban’s house to pick Hank up.

CONTEST TIME: I’m drawin’ a free Hank sketch for the first commenter who can tell me the song and artist of Hank’s ringtone.

Yeah….Hank’s got everything…except a clue.

Poor chap, always taking things literally. I wonder what he thinks a honeymoon is.

You would think Mr. A would’ve gotten enough of asking Hank to do stuff around the house from yesterday’s debacle.
